I Pick, U Pick, We All Pick -- U Pick 6 Tap House Review
My last few posts have been about reviews of some of the restaurants I have spoken to, and I am so glad that I have found opportunities to go and actually eat their food. This weekend my parents came into town to watch some of my friends at Mercyhurst play in their water polo western championship tournament. My parents and my friend's parents went out to dinner the night before their first game and I told them about U Pick 6 Tap House. We were all staying in a hotel near the water so the drive was quick and easy for us to get to the restaurant on State Street.
When we got there they were pretty busy, but we were seated right away which was very nice since we were all hungry. Their extensive beer list made it difficult for those 21 and over to decide what they wanted to drink, however each customer is allowed to try four samples of beers of their choice. The adults found this very helpful and convenient in making their decision.
Then, we moved onto ordering appetizers which we ordered the homemade stout pretzel which came with a side of the buffalo chicken beer cheese and honey mustard, and the buffalo chicken beer dip which came with tortilla chips. Both were gone within minutes which was a sure sign that everyone enjoyed them. The pretzel seemed a little stale but it was still good and the buffalo chicken beer cheese had black beans in it and was a little too chunky.
For my main dish, I ordered the U Pick 6 Dip sandwich and I was very happy with it. The shaved roast beef and melted swiss cheese were so delicious and the au jus was at a great temperature for the sandwich to be dipped in. I was surprised that I finished the sandwich and the side salad, that I swapped my kettle chips for, but the sandwich was not too big.
None of us had any room for dessert, but we were stuffed with delicious entrees of various kinds. Everyone was very satisfied with what they ordered drink and food wise and are glad that we decided on going to Tap House.
U Pick 6 Tap House is a great place if you are your friends want to get a drink and a snack after work and it is also a great option for going with friends or family that are visiting. It is available for all types of gathering for dinner or lunches and can please everyone. The food is very good and the service is accommodating and personable. I will definitely be returning and bringing more people to try it.
