Where to eat in Erie, PA
Looking for somewhere to eat in Erie, PA? Here are some suggestions I have based on what kind of food you want and atmosphere!
If you are looking for something quick to eat in the downtown area:
Like My Thai on State Street has a variety of Thai and Korean options on their menu with a range of spice made just for you!
If Thai is not your thing then you could try, Voodoo Brewery which is also on State Street. The brewery is a sit down, but you have to go up to take your food when its ready. They offer typical bar food along with some others that are different.
If you are looking for somewhere casual but not too fancy:
Calamari's Squid Row has a lively atmosphere with great food and calamari! Their outdoor patio is put to good use during the warmer seasons and is suitable for everyone.
If you want something sweet:
Fat Lenny's is a great place of you do not want the usual ice cream in a cone. At Fat Lenny's they have not only rolled ice cream but they also have sandwiches and soon they will have hot dogs. Their creative ice cream names with an abundance of ingredients in them will make everyone smile!
Ye Ole Sweet Shoppe in downtown Erie is a cute and quaint shop to get you desserts. Whether you are in the mood for fresh cookies or cupcakes, you can stop into the storefront or have it delivered to your home!
Icing on the Lake is available on the app Door Dash so you can have their products delivered to you in 20 minutes or less, or you can stop into their store in West Erie. They have a selection of items some including cream puffs, cake pops, or chocolates.
If you are looking for somewhere different that is a bit more expensive:
1201 Kitchen has food for those who like to try different things and also like sushi. They consider themselves as contemporary and are suitable for business meetings or a night out in the heart of downtown.
If you want something affordable and delicious:
Lucky Louie's is a great place to go for when you really want a hot dog and a bunch of other stuff. Their menu of creative hot dogs have something for every person, from pulled pork to pierogis they have got it all.
El Amigo is in downtown Erie and has amazing and authentic Mexican food. If you are ever craving some really good Mexican food this is the place to go. Your food comes with free chips and salsa, a big serving, and a great atmosphere. El Amigo has deals, especially happy hour deals that make the experience an even better time.
If you want Mediterranean:
Alkeme uses all whole ingredients which makes it a good place for the health-conscious to go. They have a selection items for brunch, lunch, dinner, and to go options for those who want some Mediterranean food. Everything in their restaurant is made there including their ketchup.

If you want pizza:
Gino and Joe's has NY style pizza that is reasonably priced for such large pizzas. If you want NY style, Italian food, or wings they have great deals especially on game days.
If you want breakfast:
The Breakfast Place is open early and late for night owls and early birds that want breakfast food or similar food. They have two different locations which are both a little different, but have pretty much the same items.
Dave's Diner has a 50's vibe and decorations in their downtown restaurant. Their service is fast even when they are packed, and their food is delicious. They have your typical breakfast food along with wraps, salads, soups and sandwiches.
Lawrence Park Dinor
If you want something healthy:
The Juice Jar is in west Erie but is definitely worth the drive. Their smoothies, smoothie bowls, juices, chickpea burgers, and specials are all very delicious and are made just for you. Although it is a little expensive it is made up for by the high quality ingredients and flavors. The atmosphere is cozy and could be a place to stay all day.
If you want a place for you and your family to go that is downtown:
The Brewerie at Union Station is in downtown Erie and brings you back to the 1920's in a busy train station. There are still some elements that are from the original usage of the station including the signs which are beautiful. The menu is extensive and includes something for everyone and have specialty beers. There are two different atmospheres that are separated by a glass and wood doorway, one being a restaurant atmosphere and the other being a bar area.
U Pick 6 Tap House is also in downtown and is very lively with great food. They have lots of seating including high top tables, booths, a bar, and tables. They have several different locations in the Erie area. The menu is filled with appetizers, pizzas, stromboli, salads, and other options that can make for a great night.
